There are two versions of this work, with or without a self-contained prelude for organ. In both cases, the choir is unaccompanied. Mention must be made of the extra unison choir in this work, which sings an Icelandic melody just before the end; this is an Icelandic folk song (Grátandi kem ég, nú Guð mín til þín) which also dominates other versions - for this see: 033-061, 033-167 & 033-171
