Magnús Eiríksson studied classical guitar, music theory and ear training at the Reykjavík College of Music. He has composed close to two hundred songs and music for TV and films. He played for a long time with the band Mannakorn, has published several LPs/CDs along with the songwriter KK, was the first chairman of FTT and was for a while the chairman of STEF.
Magnús Eiríksson is one of the most popular songwriters in Iceland and most Icelanders know his songs by heart. Among those beloved songs are Braggablús, Einbúinn, Einhvers staðar einhvern tímann aftur, Ég elska þig enn, Reyndu aftur, Sölvi Helgason og Óbyggðirnar kalla.
