I was born in Hauganes in Eyjafjord and grew up around music and enjoyed singing myself. I was a sailor for a long time, I was trained as an apprentice, and became a master mechanic. I later attended the Icelandic School of Trade, becoming a Master of Trade in Mechanics.
I started composing poems early and tried to write music for them.
I have published 7 poetry books.
I have attended several music courses.
I have written many song lyrics and composed music for many of them.
I have released two CDs, with 23 poems and songs written by me: Ljúfar stundir and Lífið er dans.
Some of our more famous singers have sung my songs.
I have released two solo songbook volumes: Volume 1 (by Jón Kristinn Cortez) and Volume 2 (by Þórður Magnússon).
My main producers have been: Össur Geirsson, Páll B. Szabó, Vilhjálmur Guðjóns, and others.
I now have 85 poems in notation.
I have also composed many songs for other people's poems as well.
