ErkiTíð Multidimensional Music Festival takes place on Sunday 26 November in Reykjavík Art Museum.. ErkiTíð is an Icelandic computer and electronic music festival where music, science and technology meet.
The ErkiTíð Music Festival was founded in 1994 on the 50th anniversary of the Icelandic Republic. From the beginning, the purpose of the festival has been to link music, art, technology and science together with creating a point where past and future meat by art creation. The festival program includes various type of music where music and new technology intergrates - such as with music creation using Artificial Intelligence for real-time composition, music in virtual reality and the integration of music and light (visuals) in real-time . In addition to the music festival production, ErkiTíð has participated in the creation a new of database for icelandic music, various projects in recording and music publishing, music and technology symposiums, produced visual material with electronic music as well as software development for music creation and performance.
