This piece was dedicated to Aron Ingi Óskarsson on his confirmation day in 2002. It was performed at his confirmation party. Hallveig Rúnarsdóttir (soprano) sang together with Aron's parents, Nora Kornblueh (cello) and Óskar Ingólfsson (clarinet).
The text is an old Icelandic folk poem and is a prayer for God's protection of the boy who belongs to Him.
